Mt. Kano Kujukutani Observatory Park

Mt. Kano Kujukutani Observatory Park is located on Mt. Kano, the second highest peak in Chiba. The observatory overlooks the Kujukutani Valley and the surrounding mountains of the southern Boso Peninsula. A “sea of clouds” often appears in mornings here from late fall to early spring, when thick clouds of mist float over the valley below the observatory. This view has long inspired works of art and is included in the list of "Chiba's 100 Best Views."

Access: Take the JR Uchibo Line to Sanukimachi Station. Take the “Kanozan Line” bus for about 28 minutes to the last stop, “Jinyaji” bus stop. From the bus stop, the park is about a 10-minute walk.
