Choshi Electric Railway Line

The Choshi Electric Railway, a local train which runs within the city of Choshi on Chiba Prefecture’s northeastern coast, is popular for its fleet of retro train cars and stunning scenery. The Choshi Electric Railway can be accessed by transferring from the JR Line at Choshi Station. As the train line makes its way out of the city, you’ll pass through quaint old-fashioned streets and charming farm communities on your way toward the Pacific Ocean. Stop off at Inubo Station to enjoy the view from the Cape Inubo Lighthouse and terrace market. Just one stop down is the end of the line, rustic Tokawa Station. From there, you can make your way toward the rugged coastline to catch a view of Choshi’s dramatic Byobugaura sea cliffs.
